Terms of Service
Effective August 9, 2026 · Version 2026-08-09
These Terms govern access to CareOfID (“CareOfID,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Platform identifiers
A COID is a revocable platform identifier, not property and not proof of identity, trademark ownership, endorsement or affiliation. CareOfID may reserve, restrict, suspend, rename, transfer or cancel a COID to enforce law, safety, these Terms or the COID Identifier Policy.
User responsibilities
You must provide accurate account information and may not impersonate others, mislead users, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, commit fraud, scrape the service, bypass limits or use CareOfID unlawfully. You are responsible for profile content and destinations you publish.
Complaints and enforcement
CareOfID may preserve evidence, temporarily restrict disputed material, request information, notify affected parties and act on a complaint. CareOfID is not a court and may require a settlement, court order or decision of a competent authority where competing rights require substantial legal analysis.
Service availability and responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CareOfID is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, identifier availability, search placement or third-party destination availability. Verification confirms only the checks expressly stated by CareOfID and is not an endorsement. CareOfID is not responsible for content or services provided at third-party destinations. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. Legal notices may be sent by email to info@careofid.com or through the Contact CareOfID form.
